Film series: Weekend Favorites
In addition to all the other films Cornell Cinema offers, you can count on us to provide a recent Hollywood hit or other popular title every weekend during the school year.
This Fall’s schedule features A24 hits like Everything Everywhere All At Once, Bodies Bodies Bodies, and Marcel the Shell with Shoes On. Robert Pattinson’s turn as The Batman, Baz Lurhman’s Elvis, and Jordan Peele’s Nope also grace our screen this semester.
In addition to these recent hits, you’ll also find some truly interesting films, like the 2022 Sundance Indigenous Short Film Tour, Cat Video Fest 2022, art school trip The African Desperate, and rapper Saul William’s Rwandan-set musical Neptune Frost.
David Cronenberg’s latest film Crimes of the Future cuts into the calendar, and Thor: Love and Thunder brings the hammer down toward the end of the semester. And while it’s technically not over the weekend, we can’t help but point out we’ve put together a Halloween night screening of the classic Japanese horror film, Ringu!
Even if you’ve already seen the latest Marvel blockbuster at the mall, it’s entirely different to experience the film surrounded by your college friends. Repeat viewings are easy on your budget too, especially with Cornell Cinema’s All-Access Pass, so there’s no reason to sit at home when big screen fun awaits. See you this weekend, and every weekend, at Cornell Cinema!
This Fall’s Weekend Favorites are cosponsored by Class Councils.
