Film series: Worth a Watch

Though we would argue that all films at Cornell Cinema are worth watching, this series aims to showcase some of the most critically acclaimed recent releases, focusing primarily on international features, independent films, and recent film festival hits.

Highlights from this semester include Jafar Panahi's moral thriller It Was Just an Accident (2025), Oliver Laxe's desert drama Sirāt (2025), the Ithaca premiere of the animated feature Little Amélie or the Character of Rain (2025), Kleber Mendonça Filho's The Secret Agent (2025), and screenings of The Godfather (1972) and The Godfather Part II (1974) in memory of the late, great actress Diane Keaton.
