You're invited on an adventure — to the 1980s!

“Away We Go” is a family-friendly film series that brings together five tales of self-discovery from the 1980s. Lightly inspired by Joseph Campbell’s theory of the hero’s journey, the series centers on young people embarking on otherworldly adventures — some in faraway lands, others much closer to home.

As they encounter fantastic places, meet memorable creatures, and overcome thrilling obstacles, each character also learns new things about their identity, their strengths, and their place in the world.

Whether you are discovering these films for the first time or revisiting beloved (and incredibly quotable) favorites from your own childhood, we hope that these young heroes will provide inspiration and encouragement as you navigate unanticipated adventures in your own life.
