Film series: Cine con Cultura
Cornell Cinema is pleased to collaborate once again with Cine con Cultura, Ithaca’s annual Latinx and Latin American film festival, which takes place during Latinx Heritage Month (September 15-October 15, 2023). The festival is organized by Cultura Ithaca!, Ithaca College, and Cornell's Latina/o Studies Program, with screenings presented at Cinemapolis, Ithaca College, and Cornell Cinema.
This year’s line-up at Cornell Cinema will feature an eclectic mix of new films, including a recently restored Cuban comedy, an epic Argentinian mystery drama, an animated film from celebrated Brazilian director Alé Abreu, a mystical Costa Rican environmental drama, a documentary about the transgender Indigenous artist Uýra, and a special event featuring the acclaimed artist Coco Fusco, presented in partnership with the Johnson Museum of Art and the Cornell Public History Initiative.
