Film series: Doc Spots

A person in a green hat and purple shirt holds a microphone in front of rusted metal barrels and debris.

Our ongoing Doc Spots series presents a dynamic range of non-fiction films around the world, foregrounding both powerful narratives and compelling storytelling techniques.
Many events are cosponsored by Cornell departments and programs and will feature introductions by and post-screening discussions with faculty.

This fall, we are excited to present the Ithaca premieres of Elizabeth Sankey’s Witches, Sasha Wortzel’s River of Grass, Antonella Sudasassi Furniss’s Memories of a Burning Body, and Amanda McBaine & Jesse Moss’s Middletown as well as a new 4K restoration of Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker’s Apocalypse, Eleanor Coppola’s celebrated documentary about the fateful making of Apocalypse Now.

Additional films will be announced throughout the semester!
