Ponyo

Ponyo is the magical half-human, half-fish daughter of a sea goddess mother and a sorcerer father. After befriending a five-year-old named Sosuke, she longs to live closer to the humans on land and embarks on an adorable, yet unnerving, odyssey to discover her place in the world.

Loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Little Mermaid,” Ponyo is a tender, imaginative tale of self-discovery and friendship.
