Open to General Public; Current COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

We've got GOOD NEWS for the general public! We now can welcome the general public to ALL of our screenings by adhering to Cornell University's recently announced and updated event protocols! As of Sept 30, 2021, ALL PATRONS, including members of the Cornell community, will need to provide one of the following to gain admittance:

  • Cornell ID;
  • or Proof of vaccine;
  • or Proof of negative COVID-19 test.

If you do not have a Cornell ID card, you will be required to provide one of the following at the door:

  • proof of being fully vaccinated (14 days after final dose) for COVID-19 with an FDA- or WHO-authorized vaccine;
  • results of a negative FDA- or DOH-authorized PCR, rapid PCR, or nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT) COVID-19 test collected within 72 hours of the event start; or
  • an FDA-authorized antigen test performed on a specimen collected within six hours of the event start.
  • If you cannot provide one of the above, we are obligated to deny you entry to the screening, so don’t forget!

    We will continue to require masking at all times while in the theatre, and we ask that you please refrain from eating or drinking as well (our concession stand is closed). Our current capacity is limited to 75% of our regular seating, resulting in 255 tickets to sell for each show. If you’re uncertain about being around that many strangers, though, don’t fret! Our average attendance is about 65 people, so there’s still plenty of room to socially distance from the other cinephiles in the room.

    We’re excited to welcome the general public back to Cornell Cinema!  Find something you’re interested in, buy our digital All-Access Pass, and bring your vaccination/negative test documentation! See you soon.
