Terminator 2: Judgment Day

A man looks forward with a tense expression in a blue-lit laboratory or industrial setting. Metallic equipment and glass structures blur in the background.

Ten years after the events of the original Terminator, a reprogrammed T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is sent back in time to protect Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) and her teen son John (Edward Furlong) from a new advanced model cyborg: a terrifying, shape-shifting T-1000 that follows no rules and shows no mercy.

Embracing his newfound role as protector, the Terminator forms an unexpected bond with the young boy, even as he and Sarah Connor race to stop a war between humans and the intelligent machine SkyNet that would result in nuclear apocalypse.

Winner of Best Sound, Best Sound Effects Editing, Best Visual Effects, and Best Makeup at the 1992 Academy Awards, the second installation in James Cameron's iconic Terminator franchise changed cinema forever with its ground-breaking visual effects and unforgettable one-liners.
