Past Lives (New Student Movie Night)

Cornell Cinema is delighted to welcome new Cornell students for a special Orientation Week screening of Past Lives (2023, directed by Celine Song)!

Past Lives is a moving story of identity, possibility, and the immigrant experience. Two childhood friends Nora and Hae Sung are wrest apart after Nora’s family emigrates from South Korea. Two decades later, they are reunited in New York for one fateful week where they confront notions of destiny, love, and the choices that make a life.

Celine Song’s heartrending directorial debut is a powerfully nuanced modern romance that explores the depths of human connection across space and time.

This event is open to Cornell students only and offered in partnership with the Tatkon Center for New Students as part of Orientation Week 2023.
