The Odyssey

A large group of people and animals travels along a beach beside the ocean. An enormous horse-shaped figure towers over the procession near the water.

Christopher Nolan's visually ravishing epic—based on the ancient poem by Homer—follows Odysseus, the legendary King of Ithaca, as he embarks on a long and perilous journey home following the Trojan War.

Throughout his voyage, he is forced to confront the whims of gods, mythological monsters, and trials that stretch both his cunning and his humanity to the breaking point.
