The Nightmare Before Christmas

Jack Skellington, a.k.a. the Pumpkin King, persuades the creepy inhabitants of Halloweentown to kidnap Santa and take over Christmas. Tim Burton and 120 animators used the laborious stop-motion process to create this two year project: one minute of film took a week to shoot. An amazing production, with great score by Danny Elfman. A word of caution: watch out for the Oogie Boogie man. Recommended for ages 6+.
