The Manor of Araucaima (La mansion de Araucaima)

A person lies in a hospital bed being attended to by another individual; the dimly lit medical facility has green metal bed frames and curtains

Based on the book of the same name by Colombian writer Álvaro Mutis, La mansion de Araucaima follows a young model who arrives at an old mansion, triggering chaos and awakening hidden desires among its residents and disrupting social norms. The film provokes a reflection on lust, repression, and the uncanny.

Continuing their multifaceted creative collaboration, the film was edited by Luis Ospina and director Carlos Mayolo appears in the role of “the Guardian.”
