The Librarians

The Cornell Law School First Amendment Clinic will host a screening of the documentary The Librarians, which follows public and school librarians thrust onto the front lines of a national censorship fight after the Krause List targeted 850 books on race, sexuality, and LGBTQIA+ themes and helped ignite a wave of book bans across the country.

After the screening, join Clinic attorneys and a librarian client for a conversation about the Clinic's lawsuit challenging a book ban statute in Idaho and the legal, constitutional, and community stakes of this growing threat to free expression.
