Jenin, Jenin
Jenin, Jenin is a documentary filmed in 2002 in the aftermath of the "Battle of Jenin", tracing testimony from Palestinians living in the occupied territories of the West Bank. Despite many accolades, including awards of Best Film at the 2002 Carthage International Film Festival and the 2003 International Prize for Mediterranean Documentary Filmmaking, the film has been subject to relentless censorship and was banned in Israel in 2003. Bakri's film stands as a resolute testimony against erasure.
Grads for Palestine (G4P) are proud to bring the film to Cornell and will lead a discussion of the film following the screening.
