The letters i TH ex in white on a black background
A black-and-white illustrated poster for the Ithaca Experimental Film Festival shows a surreal theater audience filled with fantastical creatures, aliens, and humanoid figures. A film projector operated by a creature beams above them.

Cornell Cinema is pleased to partner with the Ithaca Experimental Film Festival, a two-day film festival running from February 27 to February 28, 2026.

The Ithaca Experimental Film Festival (ITHEX) provides a platform for bold, unconventional films. From documentaries and animation to non-traditional narratives, ITHEX showcases work that pushes creative boundaries. Their mission is to create a space where filmmakers can screen their films, share ideas, and connect with a community that values diversity, experimentation, and DIY filmmaking.
