Are you fire or water? Join Impact Week @ Cornell (September 18-22, 2023) for a fun night out at the historic Willard Straight Theatre to see the newest Disney and Pixar film: Elemental!

Elemental is an all-new, original feature film set in Element City, a spectacular city where fire-, water-, land- and air-residents live together. Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, has always stayed close to home in Firetown because the one rule of Element City is that elements don't mix. Through her friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade, Ember ventures out of her comfort zone on an exciting adventure that challenge her beliefs about the world they live in.

At the conclusion of the event, we will have a talk back session on the movie as it relates to the “elements” of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Popcorn (unlimited), candy, and soda will be provided to each attendee.

Initiated by the Bowers CIS Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Impact Week is a college-wide event that encourages each entity to demonstrate and celebrate the importance of DEI through a series of activities that reflects their respective field or study. We invite faculty, staff, and students to take advantage of this opportunity to be rejuvenated in self-care practices; inspired by interactive dialogues across difference; challenged to develop solutions that will empower communities; and supported in making an impact at Cornell.
