All That Jazz

Joe Gideon is one of the most successful directors and choreographers in musical theater. But he can feel his world slowly collapsing around him — his obsession with work has all but destroyed his personal life, and only his bottles of pills keep him going.

In Bob Fosse’s autobiographical extravaganza, gritty scenes of Joe’s unravelling are interwoven with exquisitely-filmed production numbers, intimate dance sequences, and eerie fantasy scenes in which Joe imagines his death as a musical spectacle, featuring Jessica Lange as Angelique, an ersatz Angel of Death.
