10 Things I Hate About You (New Student Movie Night)

Cornell Cinema is delighted to welcome new Cornell students for a special Orientation Week screening of 10 Things I Hate About You (1999)!

On the first day at his new school, Cameron instantly falls for Bianca, the gorgeous girl of his dreams. The only problem is that Bianca is forbidden to date until her ill-tempered, unsociable older sister Kat goes out, too. In an attempt to solve his problem, Cameron singles out the only guy who could possibly be a match for Kat: a mysterious bad boy with a nasty reputation of his own.

This memorable modernization of William Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew stars a young Julia Styles and the late Heath Ledger as the reluctant lovers, drawn together by their outsider status and driven apart by meddling teen drama.

10 Things I Hate About You screens as part of our "Party Like It's 1999" series. Courtesy of Walt Disney Pictures and Swank Motion Pictures.

Free admission! This event is open to Cornell students only and offered in partnership with the Tatkon Center for New Students as part of Orientation Week 2024.
