Lady, a pampered cocker spaniel, and Tramp, a street mutt with a heart of gold meet cute in this rom-com and adventure, including an iconic sequence sharing a plate of spaghetti. Crisis is precipitated when Lady’s humans (“Jim Dear” and “Darling”) leave her alone with sitter Aunt Sarah and her Siamese cats.

Featuring the inimitable jazz and pop singer Peggy Lee as Peg, the shopworn soubrette, who sings “He’s a Tramp” and six other songs.

Lady and the Tramp was presented in Cinemascope, a wide-screen film technology first introduced by 20th Century Fox in 1953 that was explored in our spring 2023 series, Cinemascope: Made for the Big Screen.
