Cornell Cinema is hiring!!

In anticipation of our Fall reopening for in-person screenings (fingers crossed!), we’re seeking to hire work-study students for the following paid positions: Box Officer, House Manager, and Projectionist. We’re also seeking Volunteer Ushers! If you’re interested, fill out an application and send it along to dsm27@cornell.edu

While this weekend’s screening of Minari is sold out, we do still have tickets available for our final film of the semester, Antigone (pictured)! The film is a loose adaptation of Sophocles’ Greek tragedy, situating the play in contemporary Montreal among the Algerian immigrant community there. A panel organized by Asst Prof Athena Kirk (Classics) & post doc Mathura Umachandran (Classics) will discuss the film and its relationship to Sophocles' play, current and ancient issues surrounding refugees and migrants, and social justice, on Wednesday May 5th at 4:30PM EST. Register for that panel discussion here

And that’s it! We’ll be closing up shop May 7 to prepare for the Fall. If you’ve appreciated all we’ve done this year, please consider making a donation. Your support makes this all possible.
