Frank Langella, Peter Sarsgaard, Susan Sarandon

Winner of the Alfred P. Sloan Prize (awarded to a feature film that focuses on science or technology, or features a scientist, engineer or mathematician as a major character) at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, Robot & Frank is a story about an isolated, former jewel thief set in the near future. With his son concerned about his ability to take care of himself, Frank (Langella) is given a robotic home healthcare aide (voiced by Sarsgaard) to cook and clean for him. Soon, Frank bonds with the robot, and tests just how far it will go to assist him. With a performance from Langella that is “…the equivalent of an acting master class as he uses delicacy and underplaying to easily hold the screen even when he's all by himself,” Robot & Frank “…delivers classic movie satisfactions with a very modern spin…” (Kenneth Turan, LA Times)
