Prepare for a crash course in witchcraft! Swedish director Benjamin Christensen explores different notions of hell, witchcraft and superstition using narrative vignettes brought to life by stunning visuals, use of color, and animations. The film was banned in the United States for many years for its graphic content. Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Surrealism and Magic at the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art. The exhibition was organized by the Johnson Museum and the Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections, Kroch Library, CU.
