In conjunction with Professor Jonathan Kirshner’s Politics of ‘70s Film course (GOVT 3809), Cornell Cinema presents four seminal titles, all introduced by Kirshner, who is also the author of the recent book, Hollywood’s Golden Age: Politics, Society, and the Seventies Film in America. Patrons can reacquaint themselves with the likes of Altman, Coppola, Scorsese, and Polanksi while reaping the benefit of Kirshner’s insight on what these classic films mean in a larger context. Cosponsored with the Dept. of Government.
