It's finally here—the record-breaking Oscar winner PARASITE is screening at Cornell Cinema Thursday, Friday, and Sunday! We anticipate one or more sell-out shows! Make sure you've got a seat by reserving your ticket in advance at CornellCinemaTickets.com
But before we screen that film, we've got plenty of others to talk about, including the eco-thriller by Todd Haynes, DARK WATERS, on Wednesday and Saturday! It's a true look at corporate malfeasance and pollution and the lengths to which DuPont went to avoid responsibility. If you're concerned about the current relaxation of EPA regulations, then you should probably check this one out to see how bad it can get. Later on Wednesday, we'll screen Alfonso Cuarón's CHILDREN OF MEN as part of our Apocalyptic Cinema series.
On Thursday and Sunday we present THE BIGGEST LITTLE FARM, a beautiful documentary about a couple who start a biodiverse farm, embracing the challenges of farming in harmony with nature, closing out our Garden Cinema series. And on Friday & Saturday, we screen Pedro Almodóvar's latest film, PAIN AND GLORY. It's a semi-autobiographical tale looking backwards on life, starring Almodóvar's longtime muse, Antonio Banderas, who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor in this role.
