Environmental
Animation Festival! 2:30pm, Saturday, October 13, Willard Straight Theatre, Cornell University |
Children
of all ages will enjoy these animated short films, presented
by local singer/songwriter Jan Nigro! In Miss Twiggley's Tree,
a woman lives an odd life with her friends the animals, and is
considered peculiar by the townsfolk. But when a flood comes,
it's Miss Twiggley's good nature and her treehouse that saves
the day. A sick iguana leads a young girl into the rainforests
in search of a cure in Ana in the Rainforest. Two children
wonder where all the birds have gone in Songbird Story,
and track down the root of the problem, as they see the birds'
migratory homes being overly developed. And in The Boy and
the Snow Goose, a child protects and cares for an injured
wild goose, and a friendship develops. Through the program, Jan
Nigro will complement the films with his trademark song stylings. |
