with Festival Co-Founder Diane Pernet
A festival of short films and videos from around the world exploring themes of fashion, beauty and style, the first edition of You Wear It Well screened at such prestigious institutions as the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and the Mode Museum (MoMu) in Belgium. Designer of her own cult brand in New York for 13 years, Festival co-founder Diane Pernet moved to Paris over a decade ago to begin a career reporting on fashion. Work for the CBC's Fashion Files program lead to an appointment at Joyce magazine where she was fashion editor for five years. At Elle.com, she gave style advice, and for VogueParis.com, she rated the runways. As one of the world's most recognizable fashion people, Pernet was asked to make a cameo appearance in Robert Altman's film, Pret-a-Porter. She will present the program at Cornell, which is cosponsored with the Rose Goldsen Fund, the Dept. of Theatre, Film & Dance, the Dept. of Textiles and Apparel and the Dance Program.
