- Quentin Tarantino
- Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Forster, Pam Grier
In his homage to blaxploitation films, writer-director Quentin Tarantino adapted Elmore Leonard’s Rum Punch to the big screen and cast Pam Grier as a middle-aged flight attendant who gets involved in money smuggling. When she gets set-up for a sting, she decides to team-up with her bail bondsman and run off with all the loot. Featuring a fantastic soul soundtrack and a “pleasantly tangled” heist sequence. Samuel Jackson considers this his favoriate Tarantino film.
