Robots in love! This newest creation from Pixar features minimal dialogue and maximum visual impact. Set in a post-human landscape of deserted cities and tons of garbage, robot WALL-E (an acronym for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) spends his days picking up trash and bringing back the few treasures he finds to the rusty metal hulk where he and a cockroach take shelter from dust storms. One day, he meets female robot EVE and they fall in robot love. He follows her back to a spaceship, and we find that humans are not extinct, just living in space and coddled into obesity and laziness by their robots after ruining their home planet.
