Close friends and aspiring writers Philip and Erik each submit a manuscript to a publishing house; Philip gets published, Erik does not. Reprise, the first film from Norwegian director Joachim Trier, follows the friends as Philip is catapulted into fame, while Erik is left to live in his best-friend's shadow. Surrounded by a close-knit group of friends, the young men are confronted with their own adolescence and immaturity, as well as what lies ahead for both of them. "An exuberant, exhilaratingly playful testament to being young and hungry—for life and meaning and immortality, and for other young and restless bodies—Reprise is a blast of unadulterated movie pleasure."
