Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theatres

directed by Matt Malellaro and Dave Willis

with Dave Willis, Carey Means

Too big for a late-night Swim, too dangerous for the streets of Boston, this anthropomorphic trio—a milkshake, a box of fries and a meatball—make the jump from TV to the big screen. Master Shake, Frylock and Meatwad must save the world from the Insane-o-Flex, an exercise machine capable of mass destruction as well as giving you really tight abs. Or something like that. Along the way, they encounter the Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past From The Future, baddie Dr. Weird, and some space aliens right out of an early Atari video game. Oh, and Carl, their neighbor in New Jersey. "While some characterize the particular strain of jocularity on display here as "stoner humor," what the weird Aqua Teen disconnects that are here writ larger than ever before most resemble is the anti-logic of the nearly-asleep. It's the stuff of not quite dreams, and it's rendered with such accuracy and hilarity that I am tempted to call Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters the most successful full-on surrealist film since Bunuel and Dali's 1930 L'Age d'Or."
